Meet your Local Friends

I am a friendly, cheerful Englishman who swapped rainy days for Thailand’s sunny skies three years ago. Now thriving in Bangkok, I work for a local company and love diving into the city’s vibrant culture. With my friendly nature and insider knowledge, I am ready to share all the tips and tricks he’s picked up along the way.

Now, it’s time to introduce my friend, Anne.

Hi everyone, I am a spirited Frenchwoman who’s new to Bangkok and currently working as a teacher at an international school. As luck would have it, I shared a floor in my condo with John, and we quickly became good friends.

I am eager to explore the city’s lively streets, connect with its people, and soak up all the culture Thailand has to offer. While I love spicy food, I am still adjusting to the tropical heat. My favorite Thai phrase is “pèt nít-nòi”—“a little spicy, please.”

Next, I would like you to meet Mali, our local Thai friend.

chǎn chêuua “Mali” (literally my name means “Jasmine” in Thai) I am a local Thai, who grew up in Bangkok. I am working in a Thai company and I met John so I am John’s colleague. We work in the same team.

Since I embraced my own culture and Thainess, I have helped John explore Thailand and taught him some basic Thai during lunchtime. @John, you’re welcome! 😉
